Black Very High Temperature Paint 650°C – Aerosol

Black Very High Temperature Paint 650°C – Aerosol

Black VHT Paint 650°C is a very high temperature resistant coating designed to protect and refinish metal components exposed to intense heat. Ideal for exhaust systems, manifolds, stoves, fire surrounds and engine parts, it lays down a durable matt/satin black film that resists peeling and discolouration when correctly cured. The aerosol format makes it quick to apply on complex shapes and hard-to-reach areas.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Heat Resistant to 650°C: Formulated for metal parts subject to sustained high temperatures.
  • Durable Finish: Tough, soot-hiding black film resists blistering and flaking after cure.
  • Direct-to-Metal: Bonds to properly prepared ferrous substrates for lasting protection.
  • Fast, Even Coverage: Aerosol application reaches welds, bends and complex geometries.
  • Indoor & Outdoor Use: Suitable for automotive, industrial and domestic high-heat projects.

Product & Technical Details

  • Type: Very High Temperature (VHT) aerosol coating
  • Colour/Finish: Black (matt/satin high-heat finish)
  • Temperature Rating: Up to 650°C when correctly heat-cured
  • Substrates: Ferrous metals prepared to clean, sound condition
  • Typical Uses: Exhausts & manifolds, engine parts, stoves, fire surrounds, BBQ bodies, heaters
  • Pack Type: Aerosol can

Suitable Applications

  • Automotive exhaust systems, manifolds and heat shields
  • Wood-burner and stove bodies, fire surrounds (metal)
  • General metalwork near engines, boilers and heaters

Instructions for Use

  1. Preparation: Remove rust/scale to bright metal; abrade, degrease and dry thoroughly.
  2. Application: Shake well; apply multiple light coats at 20–30 cm distance, allowing brief flash-off between coats.
  3. Curing: Allow to dry, then heat-cure gradually (warm up in stages) to develop full 650°C resistance. Avoid sudden, high heat on uncured paint.
  4. Aftercare: Once cured, avoid aggressive solvents and harsh abrasion.

Limitations & Precautions

  • Not suitable for direct food-contact surfaces or continuous immersion.
  • Use in well-ventilated areas; keep away from ignition sources. Follow aerosol safety guidance.
  • Always test on a small area to confirm adhesion, appearance and compatibility.

Black VHT Paint 650°C provides a clean, resilient high-heat finish for metal components exposed to extreme temperatures—ideal for restoring exhausts, stoves and engine parts with long-lasting protection.
