Sikagard® Woodworm Killer is a ready-to-use, low-solvent, low-odour solution designed to eradicate all life stages of wood-boring insects, including woodworm. Utilizing micro-fine active technology with added insecticide, it penetrates deep into timber to actively kill and protect against re-infestation. Suitable for interior use, it can be overpainted, stained, varnished, or polished once dry.

  • Packaging: 5-litre tin.
  • Application Methods: Brush, spray, or dipping.
  • Coverage: Apply 2 coats at a rate of 1 litre per 3–4 m² of surface.
  • Drying Time: Approximately 1 hour, depending on temperature.
  • Shelf Life: Use within 2 years of manufacture.
  • Storage Conditions: Store at moderate temperatures (5°C - 30°C) in original containers away from children.

Application Instructions

  1. Surface Preparation: Ensure timber is clean and free from paint or other surface coatings. Remove any badly infected or structurally unsound timber and replace with sound timber prior to application.
  2. Application: Shake well before use. Apply by brush, spray, or dipping. Apply a minimum of two coats if brushing or spraying. The second coat should be applied after the first coat has soaked in but before it is dry.
  3. End Grain Treatment: Pay particular attention to thoroughly soaking the end grain. Where possible, dip or flood the end grains of the timber for maximum protection.
  4. Drying Time: Allow approximately 1 hour for drying, depending on temperature.

Limitations

  • For interior use only; not suitable for external applications.
  • Do not use in food preparation areas.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.
  • Ready to use – do not dilute.

Cleaning of Tools

Remove as much product as possible from brush or spray equipment and then clean with soapy water.
