Cut Clasp Nails – Bright – 1kg Bags

Cut Clasp Nails – Bright – 1kg Bags

Bright Cut Clasp Nails are traditional, rectangular-section nails designed for high holding power in timber. The wedge-shaped shank bites across the grain to resist pull-out, making them ideal for fixing floorboards, skirting, door linings, fencing rails, pallets, and general first-fix carpentry. The bright (uncoated) finish is suited to internal applications or locations protected from moisture.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Withdrawal Resistance: Rectangular cut shank grips across the grain for a secure hold.
  • Clean Drive & Clamping: Broad head offers strong clamping of timber components.
  • Traditional Fixing: Favoured for flooring, skirting, linings, and general carpentry.
  • Bright Steel: Ready to prime/paint; ideal where a galvanised finish is not required.
  • Trade Packs: Supplied in convenient 1kg bags for site and workshop use.

Suitable Applications

  • Fixing floorboards and subfloors to joists

  • Timber framing, fencing rails, pallets and crates
  • General first-fix carpentry and joinery

Instructions for Use

  1. Select a nail length that provides 2–3× the thickness of the top piece in penetration into the substrate.
  2. Orient the nail’s narrow edge with the timber grain to minimise splitting, especially near edges.
  3. For dense or hardwoods, pre-drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the nail thickness.

Limitations & Precautions

  • Bright finish is not corrosion-resistant; not suitable for external or damp environments.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and take care when nailing near edges to avoid splitting.

Cut Clasp Nails – Bright – 1kg Bags deliver strong, traditional fixings with excellent holding power in timber, perfect for flooring, skirting, and general first-fix carpentry where a galvanised finish is not required.
